FCC heavy naphtha hydrofining technology
to produce reformer feed

Background
¡¡¡¡Most sulphides are concentrated in heavy fractions of FCC gasoline. These fractions are treated to be the reformer feeds with deep hydrofining by removing sulfur, nitrogen and other impurities and having the olefins saturated, which not only resolved the high sulfur content problem of gasoline, but also increased the production of reformer gasoline. Belows are the typical operating conditions:
¡¡¡¡Pressure: 2.0-8.0MPa
¡¡¡¡Temperature: 280-320¡æ
¡¡¡¡LHSV: 1.5-3.0h-1
¡¡¡¡H2/oil(v/v): 200-400


Aimed at

¡¡¡¡Refineries need more reformer feeds and sulfur content in FCC gasoline is too high.

Main properties of hydrofined product
¡¡¡¡S content is less than 0.5ppm, which can be of quality reformer feeds.


Costs of investment and operation
¡¡¡¡The implementation of FCC heavy naphtha hydrofining technology can be based on revamping existed hydrofining plants.
¡¡¡¡For constructing a new plant on a 0.2Mt/a base, capital cost is around USD5.0M, operation costs is around USD10.4/ton feed (including hydrogen cost).
