Research Production: Jiang has been engaged in the studies of chemistry of natural products for pharmaceutical application, organic analysis, structural identification of organic compounds and elementary organic chemistry. At the end of 1970s, she initiated research on photobiology in China . Based on these studies, he concluded that intermolecular interaction is the principal factor affecting the magnetic behavior of these molecular systems. Research Production: Prof. Guo has been engaged for a long time in the basic and applied research on high temperature structural ceramics. In the early 1980's, he studied on the metal-ceramic seal and its application in electric vacuum field. On the basis of understanding the mechanism of ceramic-metal seal, he proposed the active-Mo-Mn metallizing method which was suitable for sealing with various oxide ceramics, even the sealing between sapphire crystal and metal. as well as the Pt metallizing method to be applied under the acid and alkali environments. In the Ig70's, he began to study the strengthening and toughening of the ceramic materials systematically and developed the fiber enhanced ceramic composites, which have been employed in the space technology in China. After the mid-to-late 1980's, he studied the multi-phase composed ceramics and materials for ceramic-engine and paid more attention to the design of ceramic materials accordingly. In recent years, he has focused on the research of nanometer ceramics. He has won many important achievements that have been adopted in the related fields in China.
